Targeted and Coordinated Supports

Targeted and coordinated supports (which might include tutoring, counseling, or work-based learning opportunities) help students succeed, even when faced with challenges.

Early and continued college and career planning, coupled with increased access to rigorous academic and CTE preparation, will help most students chart and follow a pathway to success. However, some students will need something more to succeed. This might include academic support or additional guidance to help them overcome obstacles to success.

Succeed 2020 offers community-specific supports to students that need extra help. Some REAs have developed programs that help students transition from middle school to high school.  Other REAs provide additional math supports for students that are likely to need remedial math in college.
