SEEC

South East Education Cooperative

The South East Education Cooperative (SEEC, based in Fargo) serves 43 school districts in the south east portion of North Dakota, as well as Native American and private schools.

SEEC’s Succeed 2020 program supports standards-based instruction through professional development of teachers and administrators, expanding student learning opportunities in career and technical education, and targeted programs for students.

Standards-based instruction programs give teachers and administrators the skills, tools, and confidence to understand the new ND state standards and apply them in classrooms. Teachers and administrators access a range of professional development activities such as workshops and online tools developed by SEEC’s experts.

SEEC has collaborated with Cass County school districts and helped to increased student opportunities in career and technical education through the proposal development and launch of a virtual career and technical education center.

Student-driven activities are another part of SEEC’s Succeed 2020 program. “Check and Connect,” a mentoring program delivered in partnership with Indian Education Program, gives targeted students in Fargo and West Fargo the opportunity to work one-on-one with a caring adult. Gearing Up for Middle School guides students and parents at specific schools through the transition from elementary school to middle school.
