REAs Gather for Proposal Development Workshop
January 27, 2012
On January 24 and 25, the Succeed 2020 steering committee and FHI 360 hosted a Proposal Development Workshop for REAs and their planning teams in the North Dakota State Capitol. During the Workshop, REA teams gained a stronger understanding of the strategies of the initiative and spent considerable time working with their FHI 360 liaisons.
REAs are currently building partnerships and crafting ambitious plans for proposals to receive funding for the Succeed 2020 initiative. Each REA team consists of partners representing a variety of stakeholders such as superintendents, school board members, higher education partners (including tribal college representatives), representatives from the Native American education community, individuals with expertise in career technical education and/or workforce development, and business leaders. Together these teams will address a) ongoing college/career counseling & planning, b) Access to & success in rigorous academic and CTE prep, and c) targeted and coordinated supports. Data is also a key component, measuring progress of the initiative and helping target activities to have the maximum impact.
